Design Engineer for structure
Experience :- 5 year experience
1. Collaborate with clients, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and design objectives for bridge structures.
2. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and specialized bridge design software to create detailed engineering drawings, models, and specifications for bridge structures.
3. Apply engineering principles, codes, and standards specific to bridge design to develop innovative and effective design solutions.
4. Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety, stability, and integrity of bridge structures.
5. Evaluate and select appropriate materials, components, and construction methods for bridge design, considering factors such as load requirements, environmental conditions, and budget constraints.
6. Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and presentations to communicate design concepts and recommendations for bridge structures.
7. Collaborate with other engineers, including structural, geotechnical, and transportation engineers, to integrate their input into the bridge design.
8. Review and analyze design proposals, specifications, and drawings from contractors and suppliers, providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
9. Perform field inspections and site visits to assess existing conditions and gather information for bridge design projects.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to bridge design and construction.
11. Collaborate with construction teams during the construction phase to address design-related issues and provide support as needed.
12. Adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and standards in the design process, such as AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
13. Continuously improve and optimize bridge designs based on feedback, performance data, and lessons learned from previous projects.
14. Participate in design reviews and meetings to provide technical input and guidance on bridge design projects.
15. Maintain accurate and organized records of design documents, calculations, and project correspondence related to bridge design.
