Quantity of Cement , steel & Aggregate for 1100 sqft area of an RCC Flat Slab?

In This Article i will tell you thumb rule for direct estimation of material quantity for 1100 sqft Slab .The quantities of the materials largely depend on the design of the roof slab.

Generally in Residential constructions,

• Slab thickness :150 mm
• Concrete mix : M 20
• Nominal mix (1 : 1.5 : 3 )
• One way Slab
• Only River sand is to be used
• Grade of cement and Steel bars being used : OPC 53, Fe 500

Step 1.

Slab area :

1100 Sqft = 1100/10.76 = 102.23 Sqm

Volume : 102.23*0.15=15.33 Cum.

Step 2.

Thumb rule :-

For 1 cum of concrete of grade M 20,

1. Cement : 7.95Bags
2. Sand : 0.146 Brass
3. Aggregate :0.292 Brass.
4. Steel bars : 80Kg /cum

Step 3.

1. Cement : 7.95Bags*15.33= 121.87 bags
2. Sand : 0.146 Brass*15.33= 2.238 brass =
3. Aggregate :0.292 Brass*15.33=4.47 brass
4. Steel bars : 80Kg /cum *15.33 =1226 Kg.

Note :- 1 brass= 100 cu ft

1 Cum. = 0.353 Brass.
