The Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) was incorporated in the year 1943 as the first large-scale fertilizer plant in India at Udyogamandal, Kochi, Kerala. FACT started production in 1947. Initially in the Private Sector, promoted by M/s.Seshasayee Brothers, FACT became a Public Sector company in 1960 and the Government of India became the major shareholder in 1962. FACT is under the administrative control of the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.
Applications are invited from candidates who have successfully completed Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act in our Training School(s) prior to 2020, in the following category for empanelment for engaging on fixed tenure contract (adhoc) basis:
1. Engineer Graduate Apprentice – Civil
The engagement shall be for a term of two years, renewable for a maximum period of 2 spells of one year each, at the discretion of the Management.
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and EWS will be applicable as per Government Directives. The maximum age limit as on the date of notification is 35 years for general candidates. Relaxation in maximum age limit is permissible up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates. However, later engagements from the list drawn up based on the notification will be subject to meeting the age limits as above, as on the date of engagement
The engagement will be on the basis of batch wise seniority. In case of candidates with the same year of passing, token number allotted for Apprenticeship, shall be the basis for determination of seniority. Those Apprentices who have completed/ are completing apprenticeship in 2020 need not apply, as they will be considered for engagement against (further) requirement, if any, based on list of such candidates sourced directly from the Training School.

Candidates offered appointment as above will be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000/- per month and an annual increase of 3% on consolidated pay. They wil be eligible for Leave, Provident Fund, Shift allowance, TA & DA for duty travel as per Rules.
The engagement will be subject to the candidate being medically fit and continues to be medically fit during the period of contract as per the standards prescribed by the Company.
Note: Interested candidates from the panel may be considered for engagement for periods of shorter duration too, based on requirements of the Company at rates/ terms fixed by the Company for such engagement.
