What are practical things one should know being a fresher civil Engineer

1.Know the IS Code : (Mainly for RCC and Steel)

Basically From RCC, learn the typical reinforcement details , Type of structure and their elements like beams, columns, footings.

Check where is the Compression zone and where is the Tension zone in Every structure like beams, columns, footings and why we provide higher dia steel here not there etc . I would suggest to read IS 456 because in many interviews mainly questions asked on the basis of this IS code and mainly used IS code in India .And Also Learn Steel Codes

2.Know the software. (AutoCAD, Staad Pro, Primavera , BIM etc

As a fresher you have some basic knowledge of Auto cad and many other Software .These online classes are perfect for those who are seeking skill based training in BIM. No matter, whether you are an engineer, an architect or a client, you should attend these courses to master the software.

By the end of the training, you will learn a lot of skills such as architectural design, building information modeling, ArchiCAD, AuctoCAD MEP, architecture, etc. Enroll yourself in these programs and gear up yourself for the industry.

Primavera , Such Project Management softwares are mostly used by very large companies like ECC, LARSEN AND TOUBRO, HCC etc. In India very few companies use Primavera and most of the companies rely on Microsoft Projects . However Primavera is employed in major Infrastructure project like Rail, Metro, Multi-storied buildings etc., And if you learn primavera then your market rise high Auotmaticaly
