Primary Purpose of Job:

Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical support in sewerage and stormwater drainage, impact assessment and flood management.

Support project managers/team leader by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Engineering and design of sewerage and stormwater drainage systems

• Hydrology and stormwater

• Hydraulics of Water conveyance

• Outline design / Optioneering

• Detailed design

• Prepare technical reports/ drawings

• Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally

• Need to travel offshore for training/on-site work: Occasionally

Key responsibilities

• Technically deliver the design of sewerage and stormwater drainage systems, flood management, hydrological studies

• Work in collaboration with Discipline lead, Project lead, other discipline leads, engineers and designers

• Ensure the use of consistent design standards and best practices on projects in line with the technical direction of the discipline lead

• Developing excellence by ensuring project efficiencies are achieved.

• Ensure that the quality programs, appropriate design procedures and systems are followed.

Qualifications:

• Professionally qualified Engineer, MEng or BEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering with recent experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, sewerage reticulation, sewer flooding , study of survey data etc.

• 5 years of relevant experience of working on Civil Engineering design projects.

• Working experience of CAD and Civil3D

• Experience of InfoWater ICM or Storm Sewer Analysis is added advantage

• Excellent data presentation abilities (MS Office)

• Ability to work in collaborative multi-disciplinary engineering environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills

• Working towards Professional accreditation (ICE UK/ CIWEM)

Primary Purpose of Job:

Stantec is looking for a Civil Engineer that can be a part of our growing team in our Pune office. Contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical expertise in specialist areas of civil engineering and design. To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading-edge programmes and projects.

Support project managers/team leader by providing technical expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and Stantec expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist Lead engineer to deliver infrastructure community development projects,

• Technically deliver engineering design to meet client’s requirements,

• Analysis and detailed design of different infrastructure components of projects

• Maintain records of all design calculations

• Direct CAD team to prepare detailed engineering drawings

• Undertake Civil Engineer co-ordination role & accept discipline design responsibility

• Undertake detailed QA checks for design, calculations, and drawings

• Ensure compliance with Stantec’s quality management process,

• Support Lead Engineer in planning, analysis and design of a project, proposal preparation and project presentation

• Ensure compliance with Stantec’s quality management process

• Assist in proposal preparation and project presentation

• Proactive liaison with Clients to manage service expectations and commitments

• Demonstrate an understanding of multiple discipline design outside of core discipline knowledge.

• Bring value by meaningful contribution to internal design team meetings; share experiences, make design suggestions, question evolving design intents etc.

• Ensure that Civil design project outcomes meet both the Stantec and client expectations.

Title:

Senior Civil Engineer- (Site Civil Works)

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

• 10+ years of experience for bachelor’s degree OR 8+ years of relevant experience for Master’s degree in various civil infrastructure and/or land development projects and at least 5 years of experience working on and managing Civil Engineering design projects in UK or NA

• Proficient use of all or one of the following

o Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Civil3D.

o Knowledge of Infraworks and / or hydraulic design software’s is preferred

o Experience using common data environment, such as ProjectWise, Navisworks, BIM 360 etc. for coordinated model and clash detection, is preferred

• Detailed design and engineering knowledge in all relevant areas of water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure components of the projects

• Assist in preparation of Tender documents, Bill of materials and cost estimates.

• Knowledge of civil engineering design guides / codes for UK and NA regions

• Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness

• Ability to understand project requirements. Ability to take directions from senior engineers and execute them efficiently,

• Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite

• Effective communicator with excellent organization skills, and ability to work under tight schedules

• Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills

• Capable to analyses, assess, evaluate the issues, complexity pertaining to projects / work packages and mitigate them appropriately

• Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows

• Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and technical specialists
